African Instrument Making Workshop
Instrument making workshops show where different instruments originated and how they came about. They often demonstrate how some modern day instruments are adaptations of traditional instruments (for example the guitar is based on the traditional kora or the banjo based on the west African gourd guitar), or objects (brass instruments that are based on animal horns), which have developed over centuries of histories.
