African Dance Workshop
Dance and rhythm are very important means of communication in African societies. There are dances about work (agriculture and working the land on plantations or fields), about love or relationships (courting, marriage or children) and about celebration/commemoration (portraying a birth or a death, or a festival). World Muzik Makers' dance workshops teach movements and their significance, and how different traditions can be understood and enjoyed. Through African dance we learn to embrace harmony, order and team dynamics, but ultimately how each individual interprets their understanding of Africa.
